Updates from the new DOPPS Practice Monitor - Peritoneal Dialysis (DPM-PD): Following the Pulse of US PD Care

Join the DOPPS Thursday, March 3 2022 3:00- 4:00 PM EST for updates on the DOPPS Peritoneal Dialysis (DPM-PD), including the growth of PD in the US, patient perspective on improving access to PD care, and important findings from the Optimizing Prevention of Peritonitis in the United States (OPPUS) study.
Please join us March 3, 2022 3:00 to 4:00 PM EST for a webinar that will feature updates on the DOPPS Practice Monitor – Peritoneal Dialysis (DPM-PD), including the growth of PD in the US, patient perspective on improving access to PD care, and important findings from the Optimizing Prevention of Peritonitis in the United States (OPPUS) study. This event will feature new scientific work with expert speakers and audience participation.

Speakers include Dr. Jeffrey Perl, (Unity Health Toronto, PDOPPS Co-Principal Investigator), Dr. Jenny Shen (Harbor-UCLA Medical School), Dr. Mark Lambie (University Hospitals of North Midlands) and a patient perspective from Derek Forfang, a 10-year veteran of advocacy on behalf of people with kidney diseases. For 20 years, Mr. Forfang has had kidney failure and has experienced in-center hemodialysis before receiving a kidney transplant. His experience in and with people on dialysis provides firsthand knowledge into the culture of dialysis clinics and how the current system is not designed to be people centered. Click here to REGISTER.

All presentations will be in English without translation. As a reminder, this meeting will be held online, and registration is required to attend. We hope you can join us to hear about home peritoneal dialysis care and participate in interactive discussions. Learn more about the DPM-PD here: https://www.dopps.org/DPM-PD/
